Welcome to Waggy. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Waggy mobile application, website, and all services offered on the platform. By accessing or using Waggy, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
1. Introduction
Waggy is a digital platform that connects pet parents with trusted, verified pet sitters and hosts. Waggy facilitates communication, booking, and payments, providing a safe, transparent, and caring environment for pet care.
Waggy is not a pet care provider. All services are performed by independent sitters, not employees or representatives of Waggy.
2. Eligibility
To use Waggy, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Create an account with accurate, current information
- Agree to follow all Waggy policies and community standards
We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.
3. Account & Access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You agree not to:
- Share your account with others
- Create multiple accounts
- Impersonate others
- Use Waggy for fraudulent or illegal activity
Waggy may suspend access if abuse or misuse is detected.
4. Services Offered Through Waggy
Pet parents may use Waggy to request:
- Boarding – Pet stays at the sitter’s home
- House Sitting – Sitter stays at the pet parent’s home
- Drop-in Visits – Short visits for feeding, playing, walking, etc.
- Doggy Daycare – Daytime care without overnight stay
- Dog Walking – Scheduled walks
- Cat Care – Cat-focused care services
- Pet Transport – Safe transportation or pickup/drop-off
Availability varies by location and sitter profile.
5. Payments & Fees
- All payments must be made within the Waggy platform
- Waggy collects a service fee on every booking
- Sitters are paid after the service is completed
- Payments made outside Waggy (“off‑platform payments”) are prohibited and may result in account removal
Waggy uses secure third‑party payment processors.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
6.1 For Pet Parents
Refund eligibility depends on the sitter’s cancellation policy and timing:
- Full or partial refunds may apply
- Late cancellations may be non‑refundable
- Emergencies should be communicated immediately via the app
6.2 For Sitters
- Frequent cancellations harm pet parent trust and may reduce profile visibility
- Repeated cancellations may lead to account suspension
Waggy may intervene to mediate disputes but cannot guarantee resolution.
7. Behavior & Community Guidelines
All Waggy users agree to:
- Treat pets and people with kindness and respect
- Communicate clearly and promptly
- Honor confirmed bookings
- Follow local safety and animal welfare laws
- Use Waggy only for legal, safe, and respectful interactions
Waggy does not tolerate abuse, discrimination, harassment, violence, or neglect.
8. Truthful Pet Information (Pet Parents)
To ensure safety, pet parents must provide complete, accurate, and honest information, including:
- Age, breed, weight, and health conditions
- Medications, allergies, chronic issues
- Behavioral traits (anxiety, aggression, reactivity, separation issues)
- Activity level and daily needs
- Feeding instructions, routines, and restrictions
False or omitted information may result in cancellation, account removal, and full liability for resulting incidents.
9. Safe Environment Requirements (Sitters/Hosts)
Sitters/Hosts must maintain a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for pets in their care. This includes:
- Secure spaces free of hazards (balconies, chemicals, sharp objects, open windows, pools, exposed wires)
- Proper ventilation and temperature
- Clean feeding and resting areas
- Adequate supervision according to the pet’s needs
- Limiting the number of pets hosted to what is safe and manageable
Sitters agree to adapt the environment for special‑needs pets (seniors, mobility issues, anxiety, medication requirements).
Waggy may request photos or descriptions of the care environment to ensure safety.
10. Sitter Responsibilities
Sitters agree to:
- Follow all instructions provided by pet parents
- Maintain communication during the service
- Monitor pet behavior and well‑being
- Provide timely updates (photos, messages)
- Report incidents immediately via Waggy
Sitters must not:
- Leave pets unsupervised beyond what was agreed
- Use harsh handling, punishment, or unsafe care methods
- Transfer a booking to another sitter
11. Use of Photos, Videos, and User Content
By using Waggy, you grant us permission to:
- Use photos, videos, reviews, and profile content uploaded by you
- Use images or videos captured during the service
- Publish such content on Waggy’s app, website, social media, or marketing channels
You provide Waggy a worldwide, royalty‑free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use such content for promotional, educational, or platform‑related purposes.
If you wish for specific media not to be used, contact support@waggy.ae
We will review but cannot guarantee removal of content already published.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
Waggy protects user data according to its Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information or share it without consent.
We may use anonymized data to improve platform safety and performance.
13. Reviews & Ratings
Users may review each other after services.
Waggy may:
- Display ratings publicly
- Remove reviews that violate guidelines
- Investigate reports of dishonest or inappropriate reviews
14. Liability & Platform Role
Waggy is a facilitator, not the direct provider of pet care.
Therefore:
- Waggy is not liable for user actions or omissions
- Sitters and pet parents assume all risks related to pet care services
- Waggy does not guarantee sitter performance, pet behavior, or environment safety
Users are encouraged to communicate clearly and use good judgment when arranging services.
15. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Provide false or misleading information
- Attempt off‑platform bookings
- Engage in unsafe behavior with pets
- Receive repeated complaints
- Abuse or threaten other users or the Waggy team
16. Updates to these Terms
Waggy may modify these Terms at any time.
Material changes will be shared via the app, website, or email notifications.
Continued use of Waggy constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
